The Management TeamMedical Directors: Donald M. Gleason, MD, FACS, CPI Walter S. Patton, MD,FACOG, CPI ACT employs two Board Certified physicians with a wealth of clinical practice and research experience. A hallmark of an ACT clinical trial is direct physician supervision of the study. This yields improvement in doctor-to-study subject relationships, safety, compliance, retention, data accuracy and overall quality assurance. Our Medical Directors closely monitor the subject's clinical progress, laboratory data and study related evaluations while maintaining contact with the primary care physician.
Regulatory DepartmentACT has a seperate Regulatory Department responsible for maintaining all regulatory documents in compliance with IRB and FDA requirements. Proper documentation leads to faster start-up, more efficient monitor time and shortened monitor visits.
Clinical Research CoordinatorsACT employs four clinical research coordinators, two of which are ACRP certified research clinical coordinators. ACT study coordinators are educated, skilled and experienced in clinical research.
Marketing/Recruiting DepartmentPatient recruitment that is quick and cost effective is critical to a trial's success. ACT employs two patient recruiters dedicated to achieving enrollment goals. ACT has a large computerized subject database as well as extensive experience with subject acquisition through physician referral and advertising.
