PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS

Patient Demographics

Metropolitan Tucson is home to more than 750,000 permanent residents. During the winter months, estimated population increases to more than 1,000,000. Tucson is also the home to both the University of Arizona and Davis Monthan Air Force Base. The demographics are predominantly Caucasian, Hispanic and Native American. ACT draws from a proprietary database of more than 15,000 patients, not including patients that are directly reached through advertising.

ACT uses the services of a central IRB and occasionally a local IRB. We have extensive experience using Remote Data Entry. ACT and our investigators have conducted approximately 250 studies.

Advanced Clinical Therapeutics works diligently to make our relationships with sponsors a positive experience.  Here are a few comments:

"I know that when I arrive for my visit to ACT, the CRFs will be accurate and complete, the Regulatory Binder will be well maintained and current and the PI is always will to take the time to visit with me.  The whole staff is very professional, friendly and always has time for the monitor.  It is a joy coming to this site and many times I wish I could clone them!"

Vivki Haight, RN, BSN, CRA

"ACT is an excellent site to work with. The PI is always available (a rarity!).  Regulation documents are always complete and up to date, and issues are always resolved promptly.  ACT is a site I always look forward to visiting."

Roger Miller, Senior CRA

"As a seasoned monitor, it is always a pleasure to return to (ACT) where the quality of work exceeds expectations"

Luis De La Cruz, Senior Clinical Monitor

"ACTs experienced and efficient coordinating staff work hard to complete monitor visits in as short a time as possible.  Their Regulatory Administrator always keeps the regulatory binder in order and up to date.  The specialty PIs and Medical Directors are readily available during monitoring visits, which are scheduled with ease.  The entire ACT staff is friendly and great to work with, producing quality data in a pleasant environment."

Sandi Nardini, Senior Clinical Research Monitor

"I truly enjoy working with ACT because each team member at ACT is very professional.  The coordinators are experienced, well trained, and monitored by the Coordinating Manager.  Regulatory issues are promptly addressed by the Regulatory Administrator.  Recruitment strategies are aggressive and productive.  The investigators are accessible, knowledgeable, and very hands on.  The site as a whole is extremely organized, effective, and efficient...and it's all done with a smile."

Amanda Ormsby, Senior Clinical Research Associate

"ACT is my favorite site!  The staff is friendly, dedicated, and responsive. The monitoring goes faster here because the coordinator works hard to get the data right the first time and to spend any time needed to work with me.  The monitor rooms are a plus."

Peter Vonier, Clinical Research Associate
